This reminds me of my all time Aishwarya’s favourite movie ‘hum dil de chuke sanam’. Aishwarya Rai has done a great job and acted so beautifully in this movie. I can still recall the images of one of her best scene in the movie where she was sitting on the ‘jhulaa’ (swing) and telling her mom – ‘haan usne mujhe yahan chhua, yahan chhua, yahan chuua, usne meri aatma ko chhua he Maa’ [He touched me here (forehead), here (nose), here (lips), he has touched my soul maa]. I picked up this movie so that I can co-relate it to the aforesaid subject.
I am a bachelor, but I wanted to write on this topic just to check my conscience – what will I do, putting myself in the same shoes of Ajay Devgan (Aishwarya’s husband who agreed to send her back to her first love – Salman Khan). It’s a very ominous situation and nobody can answer it before it actually happens (as time has a different meaning to it and we can’t picture it today).
Hypothetically, I would exactly do the same what Ajay Devgan did in the movie (letting her go back to Salman). It is damn not easy for the husband to let go off his wife (love) just like that.
I want to ask people what they will do? What their conscience says? If a situation like this occurs… Because I know it’s a male chauvinist world and people will never let their wives go off easily from them. But there are some loving husbands too, who will happily accept what their wives want and leave them for their good sake.
But what will happen if a husband doesn’t want to leave his wife who wants to leave him for her love? How would their relation gonna be after that? How will they live together?
As there will be so many integrity doubts among them, which will make their life hell. Insecurities will give birth to anger, arguments, quarrels, and egos. The understanding that was so strong earlier will die and in turn it will be an end to this loving relationship.
