This reminds me of my all time Aishwarya’s favourite movie ‘hum dil de chuke sanam’. Aishwarya Rai has done a great job and acted so beautifully in this movie. I can still recall the images of one of her best scene in the movie where she was sitting on the ‘jhulaa’ (swing) and telling her mom – ‘haan usne mujhe yahan chhua, yahan chhua, yahan chuua, usne meri aatma ko chhua he Maa’ [He touched me here (forehead), here (nose), here (lips), he has touched my soul maa]. I picked up this movie so that I can co-relate it to the aforesaid subject.
I am a bachelor, but I wanted to write on this topic just to check my conscience – what will I do, putting myself in the same shoes of Ajay Devgan (Aishwarya’s husband who agreed to send her back to her first love – Salman Khan). It’s a very ominous situation and nobody can answer it before it actually happens (as time has a different meaning to it and we can’t picture it today).
Hypothetically, I would exactly do the same what Ajay Devgan did in the movie (letting her go back to Salman). It is damn not easy for the husband to let go off his wife (love) just like that.
I want to ask people what they will do? What their conscience says? If a situation like this occurs… Because I know it’s a male chauvinist world and people will never let their wives go off easily from them. But there are some loving husbands too, who will happily accept what their wives want and leave them for their good sake.
But what will happen if a husband doesn’t want to leave his wife who wants to leave him for her love? How would their relation gonna be after that? How will they live together?
As there will be so many integrity doubts among them, which will make their life hell. Insecurities will give birth to anger, arguments, quarrels, and egos. The understanding that was so strong earlier will die and in turn it will be an end to this loving relationship.
Can I have your comments on this situation please? (I want to post it again on people’s conscience…'How to let off your love for somebody when you are in a deep love with the person...)
When a stranger becomes your best friend
I casually asked a girl for a beer,
Viewing that if she likes, she would come or not come near,
Luckily she nod, and come to test her mere curiosity,
But seeing this sweet, cute girl I rein back my velocity,
The velocity of which I was approaching her,
Was of no mean reasons but to become a friend of her,
As I asked her to come, just casually,
Its good to meet new people and advocate kinship gradually,
Kinship with good people makes you learn many things,
And it’s always good to know more people to add striking wings,
I ordered one beer and she some mocktail,
We shared some gossips, and unleash our trial boat to sail,
It was a short meeting as the time was less,
The rationale was our approach, so we clean the cynical mess,
The mess that camebecause of our suspicions,
But fortunately we both came out good, and throw our genuine reasons,
Reasons that why we came together,
For mere curiosity, plain thoughts or for some strange reasons rather,
At the end, we forgot the reasons that why we met,
Meeting turned out good, we become good friends, and with no regret.

'Slumdog Beer bottle'
“What would we do with the money? We need a house”… -- father of a kid who acted in the movie reacted when one of the news reporter asked him in an interview.
"We saw some parts of the shooting (film) in our slum, and that was nice, but I won't go and see the film," said a boy, 12, resident of the same slum. "I only like Shah Rukh Khan films," he said.
That is what the ground reality of the today’s poor world is. Kids from the slums who worked in the movie had fun while working on the sets; meeting bollywood stars, wearing new clothes, eating chocolates, attending promotion parties. But everything vaporized after the fun-dream is over and when they are back to their ragged houses.
This weekend, my friend and I decided to have beers in an open-secluded area and to not to go to any busy restaurant. It is always hard to find a place in delhi, where u can sit and drink beers in open, as the dilli thullas are alarmingly available in all areas. They also harass you if they catch you taking alcohols in open. As it was pretty dark (seven in the evening), so we decided to go to a small playground situated in the outer-skirts of Vasant Kunj. We were on a bike, so we skidded our bike inside the playground from an unwired pavement.
Cows were grazing in the field. We went inside the middle of the ground and sit on the dry grass. It was quite dark, surrounded by trees, but we were enjoying our sips. We were sharing our lives and discussing strange things, as what people do when they are intoxicated. Suddenly we found a bunch of kids surrounding us. ‘Kya chahiye’ I triggered unhappily. Two kids said collectively, ‘botal’. Actually these kids reside in the slums touches the ground fence and they saw us entering the ground.
We tried 3-4 times to send them back to their slums, but failed. Failingly I said, “jo bhi humse jyada door jaa kar bethega usko hum botal de denge”. Kids ran and sit at quite a distance from us. We sighed as it was suffocating seeing them around us. But they were eyeing on our bottles, and waiting for it to finish.
Few minutes after we finished with our beers the kids ran to their life to grab the bottles. I stopped them and told them to stand peacefully, gave bottles to two kids (6-8 yrs old) and few bucks to the others.
Slumdog millionaire that bagged so many awards worldwide has raised a question to ourselves; Are we emotional about poverty and have a soft corner in our hearts when we see poor?
